Terms of use

Readout, by Pop Hasta Labs Ltd · Last updated 24 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Pop Hasta Labs Ltd (company number 16742039, 128 City Road, London, EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom) for using Readout. By creating an account you agree to them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. Readout

Readout is an end-to-end encrypted video meeting service. A host signs in with an account and starts a call; guests join with the call’s link and password and need no account.

2. Your account

You must be 18 or over to create an account. You sign in with a code we email you, so anyone who can read your email can sign in as you — keep your email account secure. You are responsible for what happens in calls you host.

3. Using Readout properly

Don’t use Readout to break the law, to harass or harm anyone, to share material you have no right to share, to send spam, or to try to break into, overload or get around the security of Readout. We may suspend or close an account that does.

4. Plans and payment

5. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel Pro at any time on your account page (readout.pophastalabs.com/?account). Pro keeps working until the end of the month you have paid for, and nothing more is charged. We don’t refund part-months. If you are a consumer and you cancel within 14 days of your first Pro payment, email us and we will refund that payment in full.

6. Your calls, recordings and notes

What you say and share is yours. Readout encrypts calls, recordings, captions and notes end to end, so we cannot read them. Readout asks everyone before recording them; if you record, you are responsible for having a good reason and telling people why. Recordings are deleted after 72 hours unless the host extends them (up to 15 days in all); notes stay until the host deletes them. Because we can’t read your notes, we can’t recover them if every browser that held their key has lost it.

7. Our service

We work to keep Readout available and secure, but we can’t promise it will always be available or free of faults, and we may change or improve features. If we ever close Readout, we will give account holders at least 30 days’ notice and refund any Pro time paid for but not used.

8. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to limit. Otherwise, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. If you are a consumer, these terms do not affect your legal rights.

9. Ending the agreement

You can stop at any time by deleting your account on your account page (readout.pophastalabs.com/?account). We may end or suspend your account if you break these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law stops us.

10. Changes and the law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will email account holders before the change applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction (if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring a claim in your own country’s courts).
